Spanish Cuisine
Spain’s history is steeped in a maritime culture that is still evident today, and is therefore a country that has a strong focus on seafood dishes when it comes to cuisine. Of course, various cultures have also influenced their recipes in different ways, but Spain has been known for its healthy food and locals prefer using fresh ingredients and herbs in all their dishes. What makes the cuisine of this country even more exciting is the fact that it varies from region to region, allowing visitors to enjoy a cuisine extravaganza as they travel through the various destinations of Spain.

Uniquely flavored fish pies and scallops can be enjoyed in the northwestern region of Spain and squid, baby eels and fish soup are the specialties of the Basque region.
